pom poms

Y.Rose loves pom poms... everywhere! We've had the pom-pom headband on the site for a few weeks, and are now also going to bring in pom-pom hair clips. I wore them over the holidays and they look super cute! Do you think we should also make larger bow hair clips?

Here is a silly picture of Dee & I when we went to the Martha Stewart Show...they made us wear holiday sweaters...mine had jingle bells :)

pink olive boutique

I hope everyone had a great start of the year. I did for sure! We are now also selling our full line of knit accessories at the whimsy Pink Olive Boutique. They offer an edited selection of unique gifts, many from local artists. Their shops are located in New York, one in the East Village and another in Park Slope, as well as an online website.
Stop by or take a look around their site, I'm sure you'll find something you love!

new year's eve traditions

New Year's Eve is probably one of my favorite celebrations because of all the crazy things I do to prepare for it. Being a native from Spain, it's a big deal for us!
If you want to celebrate with YRose, here are some
must-do's:

*Wear red undergarments
*Eat 12 grapes when the clock starts to chime at midnight (1 for each chime)
*Have your right foot lifted while eating the grapes and step on it after you eat your last grape
*Toast!

Cheers, hope your year starts wonderful!

I can't wait to see what 2010 has prepared for us...

happy holidays!

Dee (gal on the right) is coming over this weekend to do some holiday shopping with me...and of course go to Martha Stewart on Tuesday yayy. We're going to hit up the Gifted Holiday Market on Sunday. If you live in NYC, I definitely recommend checking it out! It's all local vendors with very neat stuff. I've also been looking on etsy for gifts and found some really cute items I wanted to share.

*MarciG's pottery is beautiful! I love the text birds and poppy tea bag/trinkets holder

best bracelet EVER

I saw this bracelet a few weeks ago in a blog and had been thinking about it everyday until I finally made the decision to purchase it. I got it in the mail today and I don't think it is going to leave my wrist anytime soon. So cute! I like items that inspire and this bracelet is going to remind me everyday of my favorite quote by Eleanor Roosevelt:
"Do something everyday that scares you"
Anywho, have you bought something recently you LOVE?

giving thanks...

This Thanksgiving weekend we decided to do a special promotion on etsy, offering free shipping with the purchase of two items or more. (something for yourself and for a friend!) Also, if you read our blog, please write "givingthanks09" during checkout for a free holiday hair clip as seen above. :)
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and get a chance to reflect on what you're thankful for. I am very thankful I went on this accessories venture with my mom!
Dinner-wise, my family and I are not very traditional...we are having:
*Spinach stuffed beef cutlets
*Mashed sweet potatoes
*Mesclun salad with oranges, apples and craisins
*Pumpkin whoopie pies with chai latte ice cream

What special dish are you making this year?
